The Windlasses show support for the Dunedin Boat Clubhouse rebuild.
The loss of the Dunedin Boat Club Clubhouse during the 2024 hurricanes has affected 5 local organizations. A group of Windlass Sunfish sailors set sails on August 23, 2026 to support and celebrate a major donation from David and Nancy Billheimer which is helping the clubhouse rebuild effort.

Sisterhood of Windlasses
On May 9, 2024 thirty-seven SEASONED SALTS gathered on Janet Bowers waterfront porch to view the sailing races and celebrate the "Sisterhood of Windlasses”.
The group took a QUIZ on the history of Windlasses. Sally Irving won the prize for most correct answers.
There was a three-way tie for the best-attired sailor with Windlasses garb. Barbara Campbell Ewert, Lucile Casey, and Sally Irving were awarded prizes.
Claudia Nable gave a brief overview of the SAILABILTY program which many Windlasses support by volunteering. The group offers sailing opportunities for our SEASONED SALTS to get back on the water as a skipper or a passenger.

Recognition Certificate from Shriners Hospitals for Children - Tampa
Windlasses collected toys at their 2017 Christmas party and donated them to the appreciative Shriners.
